In 1622 Count Nikolaus Esterházy founded the era Esterházy in Eisenstadt.
Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt is one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Austria and the most notable cultural monument in Burgenland. For visitors, the ceremonial rooms re-awaken the illustrious past and life at the royal Esterházy court. Today, the Palace continues to occupy pride of place in the cultural calendar, and is frequently the picturesque setting for feasts, festivals and social events.
After 40 years on the 1st of January the Palace in Eisenstadt is taken over by the Esterházy Privatstiftung and will be furthermore the centre for culture events for the guests from all over the world. Besides that there is an extensive mediation- and events program offered.
